E3 Projects
Our Process for Projects
The work of the E3 Foundation centres around a series of Projects that are either set as strategic priorities of the Steering Group, or that arise from the interests of self-organising groups of Fellows and Associates.
These projects are organised into thematic areas reflecting the policy concerns of the national and international organisations we advise. Our work assesses and critiques existing policies and proposes improvements and/or completely new policies, strategies and action plans, including energy taxes, cap and trade schemes, import levies and regulatory requirements at national and international levels. An overall objective is to understand how international processes can facilitate and encourage national and supranational action. The process we follow is loosely based on the following steps:
1. A Project is defined, either by the Steering Group or Fellows and Associates, based on interests of the Fellows and the need of decision makers for answers to specific questions.
2. A Project Team is assembled consisting of Fellows and Associates.
3. A Project website is created to facilitate the work, partially open to the public and partially contained on the E3 Intranet.
4. A series of Workshops may be conducted to refine the thinking of the participants, engage with scholars abnd policy makers, etc.
5. A Working Paper or Project Report is prepared by the Project Team, following the traditional guidelines of scholarly work. This paper or report is submitted to E3 review and edits made as required.
6. The paper or report is distributed to the relevant stakeholders, polcy makers and decision makers.
7. A Briefing Paper is prepared summarising the findings and their implications, and distributed to high-level policy and decision makers globally. | Current Projects...
