Consultations

The E3 Foundation is asked regularly by organisations to participate in their consultation processes on key issues and policies. An E3 Fellow monitors these requests for consultation, brings these opportunities to the Steering Committee for approval, identifies a Fellow to take the lead on preparing the response to the consultation, and reviews and approves the response before it is sent to the sponsoring organisation.

Areas of Consultation

Our interests and expertise are extensive, but we tend to focus on consultations related to:
  • The effectiveness of policies to drive decarbonisation and the rate of uptake of renewable energy and energy efficiency measures
  • Fiscal reform and its role in addressing environmental problems
  • Review of scientific reports by national and international bodies, such as the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
  • Proposals for programmes, and policy and market instruments, aimed at capture and sequestration of carbon in vegetation through land use practices
  • Risk-based decisions in regard to improvement of environmental quality through energy and economic policies, strategies and action plans
